In 2004 an experiment was undertaken to meld polycarbonate and steel, two materials renowned for their remarkable strength, in the construction of a timepiece - something completely new to the watchmaking industry. A mechanical movement was then added to provide this tough object with a beating heart.
It was in that very moment that 3H ITALIA was born, partnering this innovation of materials with the talent of famous Italian designers. The watch lay before them with its unique personality and strong technological characteristics, such as its highly scratch-resistant casing, day and night visibility and its waterproof pressurized backing - the basic set of feature for the first "Oceandiver" watch.
